I need to apologize for my card today.

This is an old card I made a couple of years ago.

My Mom had a stroke on Sunday and we have been at the hospital

since then. So... I haven't had time to make a new card.

This image is from Northwoods Stamp Company.

The ho,ho,ho is a dollar stamp from Micheals.

This card is a bid 6x6 one.

I made smaller A2 size ones and sold them 10 for $15.00 a few years ago.

I think I may make some more this year to sell too.

I had these numbers left over from a clock kit that I bought.

I didn't need the numbers but because I never throw anything I held on to them.

When I got this stamp in the mail I was excited!

I could finally use the numbers I've been holding on to.

Life has been busy!!

I'm getting things back on track now.

school treats...

Jordan's teacher supplied stockings for all of the kids in her class.

27 kids, 27 stockings!

Each child was to bring in a small something to put in the stockings.

We made candy tubes with a Santa topper.

I used all punches to make the Santa.

I ran the beard through the cuttlebug to give it some texture.

The hat is made with the word window punch and the butterfly punch cut in half.

We waited until the last minute to get these done.

I think they turned out ok for last minute and I know the kids enjoyed them.

I made some gift tags to put on my packages this year.

I used this cute tedy bear stamp by Steven Benson.

You can buy the stamp at Queen Kat Designs.

I stamped it in black ink and colored with Stampin' Up! markers.

Then I cut the bear out and attached him to a punched out scalloped circle.
I inked the edges of a shipping tag then added my ribbons.

I printed her out then colored and cut her out.

I added the buttons, flowers and dew drops with Glue Dots.

These are a quick thank you gift I made for the people coming to my crop.

Super easy to make.

Just fill the tubes with candy. I used M&M's.

Then I punched out the scalloped circle.

Stamped a thank you on white stock and punched it out with a circle punch.

inked the edges of the circles and attached to the scalloped circle.

Then attach to the top of the tube with a Glue Dot.

See told you easy peasy!!

I also made CUTE ones for the kids at school. I'll show those to you next week!

note books...

These are some note books that I made for the people coming to my crop on November 5th.

Super easy to make too!

First you take the coil off.

Then you cut your paper to size and attach.

Punch holes in the top to reattach the coil.

Wind coil back on then attach ribbons.

Decorate the cover any way you like.

Mine says "fall crop" and then I stamped an acorn in the middle.

When I laid the image on the background paper the colors all just went together perfect.

I used a wavy cutter for the snow.

Stamped the happy holidays in black then stuck everything together.

Good morning friends.

Thanks for stopping by today, it really means a lot to me.

I got one of the coolest zombie stamps from Queen Kat Designs.

At first I was not sure how I was going to color her.

Then I pulled out all of my markers, Bic, Sharpie, Copic, Stampin' Up! and figured it out!

I really wish I could take better pictures so my coloring shows up better.

Image was stamped in black Palette ink and colored with the markers I named above.

Then I added a little bling flourish, some stick pins that I made and some lace.

OH, on a side note season 2 of the Walking Dead is 2 weeks away!!! YAY!!!!

Viva Las Vegastamps!

I had so much fun in the Viva Las Vegastamps Design Team.

I was excited when I found out I could apply again!!

~~~~~~YAY!!!~~~~~~

(that was me doing the happy dance, kinda scary!)

Anyhow...

You all know where to find Viva Las Vegastamps, right??

They really do have stamps for everyone! (naughty ones too!)

The grab bags are freekin AWESOME!!!

I have like 4 of them and only have maybe 10 of the same stamp, out of over 200!

See, freekin awesome!!!

So, to apply to the next design team term we had to email out bio.

(I hate that part cause I hate talking about myself)

Then today we needed to do this blog post.

Here is the card I made for my posting:

The Quote is hard to see in my bad picture but it says: "Life is short Make fun of it."

How cute is that. I thought it worked for a froggy card.

My ribbon is an old shoe lace. I throw nothing away.

I also dusted off my sewing machine and stitched around my image and background papers.

I tied the dragonfly charm on with some hemp twine.

Added some flowers with some brads.

Everything is stuck down with Miracle Tape, that stuff is freekin awesome too!!

We are going to a graduation open house on Sunday.

Here is the card that I made for the graduate:

This was one of those simple cards that took forever to make!

I could not find the graduation paper I knew I had.

I ended up borrowing a piece from my Sister.

I had to dig for ever for the ribbon,

I could not figure out how to type in a circle. I knew I had done it before.

Thankfully my good friend Angie rescued me.

Thanks again Angie!!

I was almost ready to give up!

I'm glad I hung in there because I think it turned out pretty dang cute.

I colored it with Tombow markers.

All of the ornaments I colord then added Diamond Glaze to them.

Rockin' the human skirt...

I have always wanted a poodle skirt!

Not sure I would ever wear it but I know I want one!!

When I found this stamp in my AWESOME pound of rubber

from Viva Las Vegastamps I fell in love with it!!

See, now how awesome is this stamp!!!

I stamped it in black Pallette ink and colored with Copic markers.

I pulled more scrap paper from my "pile o'scraps"

for the background papers.

Tied some hemp twine in the buttons for my flower centers.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for my "greens" with the flowers.

Ok now for the important stuff:

Really I would NEVER lie to you!

Trust me when I say you NEED to get some of the Pound of Rubber deals at

Viva Las Vegastamps!!

You get so many stamps it's crazy!!

I mean sure some of them may not be ones you like.

Then you just give those ones any to your stamping friends!
I have bought 4 of the pound of rubber and have only gotten 2 of the same stamps.

That is freekin awesome!!!!

Hello friends.

Sorry for having so few posts lately.

Life is just busy and crazy.

I'm working on getting back into the swing of things.

I promise!!

Have you ever tired the "cracked glass" technique?

It's really easy and fun.

Start by stamping your image and coloring it.

Then I cover my image in Versamark clear ink.

Next totally cover the image with embossing powder.

Heat with a heat gun to melt it all.

While melted powder is hot dip back into embossing powder.

Keep repeating over and over about 5 times.

After the last heating let it cool about 5 minutes.

Then you "crack" it.

Just fold and bend and fun cracks will show up.

I then distressed mine with some ink.

This week it's me, Jules & Jan.

This week our challenge was to make something other than a card.

This is the stamp that I used:

A snowflake, but I didn't use it as a snow flake!!

I punched out butterflies and used the snowflake to make swirls on them.

I stamped each side with pink ink.

Then I added the pearls to make the body of the butterfly.

My finished project is a canvas.

I painted the back ground an off white with a little pink.

Found my quote online and printed it on off white paper.

Glued the quote to the canvas then added my butterflies.

They are nice thick card stock. Very easy to use!

My Niece has a Pug named Payday. This stamp made me think of him! LOL

Well I know I've shown you before how to stamp on fun foam.

When moving my stamp room a few weeks ago I found my stash of fun foam, YAY!!

This stamp is from Queen Kat Designs, you own all her stamps right??

Well you need to!! Ok, maybe not all of them but some would be nice!!

So to make the card here is the run down:

Ink you stamp up alot, make it good and juicy!

Heat the foam with a heat tool.

While the foam is HOT press the stamp into it.

Press hard to get a good deep image.

FYI: the foam is hot, don't touch it! duh! {ouch}

Oh and sorry for the crappy picture, I'm having a few camera issues {again!}

Jayden is one of my Nephews in Oregon.

I will get to meet him this summer for the first time!

I'm very excited about this!!

His Mom sends us lots of pictures and I snagged a few from Facebook too!

When I saw the Little Boy lines from Paper Patch Crafts I knew it was perfect for this!!

There are just way to many stamps to choose from!

They have an awesome deal on a pound of unmounted rubber stamps.

You get ALOT of stamps for that price!

I love it I have bought 3 so far and only have gotten 2 of the same stamp!!

Well when going through my stamps I found this cute baby.

Then I found the saying and thought it was perfect with this stamp! LOL

LMAO!!! I love it!!!

I used just more random background papers here.

I used the Tim Holtz tiny attacher on the image.

The cardboard I had been holding on to for awhile. I just used a little brown ink on it.

This is a image I got from my friend Jennifer at Palooza last weekend.

I colored it with Copic markers.

I used paper from my scraps for the back ground.

The photo corners I cut out with the cricut. Then I added Diamond Glaze to them.

It doesn't show in the picture but they are shinny and pretty.

Now on to my project. {there's a funny story behind it.}

I have been thinking for days on what to make. Lots of ideas running through my head. I wanted to make something new and exciting. Problem was I just could not get excited about anything. I wanted to make some thing that would just make you say WOW. Could not think of anything.

Then as I'm making this sign to hang on Jordan's bedroom door.

{still trying to figure out what to make}

A little light bulb goes off!

DUH!!!

This IS home decor!!

Not the super fancy, make you say WOW project I had planned.

But, This IS going to be hanging in my home.

I started with a 6x9 piece of chip board.

covered it with paper

punched 2 holes and tied my ribbon

cut out "Jordan" with the cricut

glued on the letters

DONE!

Simple and great project that is going to hang on her door.

Plus every time she slams her door I don't have to worry

about her breaking it because it's just paper!!

We spend the weekend laughing and stamping.

Spring is suppost to be here already.

I think Mother Nature forgot to turn up the heat.

As I was making this card thinking about Spring,

it was snowing. Just a little bit, but still, more evil snow!!

The image is a FREE digi from bugaboo stamps.

Did you know they do a free digi every Friday??

They are also one of those evil stamp companies with tons

of super cute stamps! So cute you just can't stand it and must have them all!!

anyhow...

I colored the image with Sharpie markers.

Dug through the scrap piles and pulled out my background papers.

Used brown brads for my flower centers and attached them with Glue Dots.

My garden album...

Being part of design teams mean you get great products to work with!!

When I opened my package from Paper Patch Crafts and saw this album I just knew it was perfect for my garden album I had been thinking about!

I love the bee hive shape!

The album is chip board so I:

painted, misted & covered with paper!

The cover is painted with black paint, then i just put a piece of yellow card stock behind it.

I added Scrabble tiles to spell out the "garden" and stinkers for the "my"

of course flowers and glitter too!!

The yellow paint on this one is very "chunky". I painted really messy and made swirls and bubbles in it. You can't see it in the picture {sorry} but it is neat! Maya Mist!!! How fricking cool!! You spray the mist and it's sparkly & pearly & colored all at the same time!!

Some of the pages I left the chipboard "nekked"!!

That is because I'm going to dry some of my flowers and glue them to the chip board.

My lavender page will be all covered with dried lavender.

I also only did one side of each page. The other side I'm going to do with pictures of the same flowers this year when they bloom. I'm also going to add a little more journaling and things like that too.

This is a set of cards I made for the show I'm doing next month.

All the same card & saying just diffrent colors of paper.

Love this cute digi!!

Colored her with Copic and Bic markers.

I used gold glitter on the key.

I made the flowers with the Stampin' Up! butterfly punch.

You need to punch out 2 butterflies for each flower.

Then use a small hole punch & punch a hole in the center of each one.

Next take your butterflies to the sink and get them all wet.

While they are wet smoosh them all up then open them.

Set aside to dry. {I use my heat gun to dry them}

Attach 2 butterflies together with a brad.

Now you have a flower!

Spring will be here soon and at my house that means the lady bugs will be out.

We get LOTS of ladybugs!!
This image is a digi and I colored her with Copic markers.

Then I used nesties to cut her out and mat the image.

I ran half of the background stock through the cuttlebug, with the swiss dots folder.

Then I tied a knot in a piece of red ribbon.

Tied some white twine through the buttons and stuck them on with Glue Dots.

Last year after Valentines Day I bought several ugly wooden plaques from our local store. They were on sale for 10 cents each!! What a deal. I grabbed each one they had! Now I just had to make them pretty and covering them with paper is the perfect way!

Image is a digi from The Greeting Farm.

I colored it with Bic & Copic markers. then I cut it out with Nesties.

Then I inked around the edges and I added some pearls to the corners.

Oh there is a pearl on the bow in her hair too.

The tag is just a shipping tag that I stamped on and added the "love" to.

Flowers are from Prima.

The lace is from Paper Patch Crafts.

The beads and key charms I have just had forever.
